Brendan Campbell - Department Head for Completion, Interventions, Subsea, Testing & Integrity

Brendan Campbell joined Total UK in 1992, working in various project-based positions, including as a pipeline and welding engineer, before turning his focus to drilling activities with a specialisation in wells and related machinery.

He relocated to Angola in 2002, where he was in charge of the Dalia, Jasmin and Rosa projects, amongst others. Following his experience in Africa as the Subsea Manager for the drilling department, he worked in Paris as a Deepwater Specialist for the group SCR division before moving on to Russia and the Shtokman project.

In 2011 he was named SPS Manager for the INPEX Ichtys project. He has led the Completions, Interventions, Subsea, Testing and Integrity Department of the CSTJF in Pau since 2014.



  • Angola – Subsea Drilling Manager: in charge of subsidiary SPS contracts and liaising between the project and drilling groups for Girassol and Dalia. 
  • Russia - Head of the Well Engineering Department for the Shtokman Project: well engineering and design.
  • K5F – Responsible for the certification and delivery of the first eDHSV (fully electric down-hole safety valve).
