Édouard Baldy, in charge of climate topics for E&P Strategy


Édouard Baldy joined E&P in 2004. From Aberdeen to Abu Dhabi, and Paris to Nigeria, he took part in the development of deep offshore, offshore and onshore projects. After filling various positions in E&P’s central services within the Projects division, and also in the teams in charge of the Culture Change and Cost Reduction program, he went on to join E&P’s Strategy department, where he is responsible for strategic analysis studies and climate topics. He graduated from the Grenoble INP institute of engineering.



  • In 2004, he took part in the feasibility studies for the deep offshore CLOV project (Angola, block 17) and filled several functions in the project until 2008. His tasks included coordination of contractual interfaces with contractors in charge of the construction of the project’s different elements.
  • In 2011, he took on responsibility for the revamping of offshore platforms for Total E&P Gabon.
  • For two years, starting in 2013, he was in charge of the construction of a power plant, a gas treatment center and a pipeline in the suburbs of Port-Gentil (Gabon), as part of the electrification of the Anguille offshore project.
