Eric Oguama, Deepwater Inspection Methods in Total Exploration & Production Nigeria

Eric has been working with Total Exploration & Production since 2006. He has a Metallurgical & Materials Engineering background and is certified as NACE International Senior corrosion Technologist. He started his Oil and gas career in 2002 with ACT Nigeria Limited as Pipeline maintenance and leak intervention Engineer. He was also involved in extensive Engineering design of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems for onshore/swamp pipelines and platforms facilities for major oil companies in Nigeria.

On joining Total, he worked as JV Offshore Inspection Engineer, supporting OML 100 (Odudu), OML 102 (Ofon) and OML 99 (Amenam) Inspection operations. In 2009, he took the position of Site Inspection Engineer, responsible for FSO Unity, Odudu and Ofon fields. In 2011, he was assigned to Total Exploration & Production Indonesia. His responsibility was to provide onshore Inspection support to the South Processing Unit (SPU) and the Sisinubi offshore facilities.

Since his return to Total Exploration & Production Nigeria in 2013, Eric has been leading the Inspection Methods team, providing inspection solution support to Akpo FPSO.

2005-2006: Detailed design of CP Systems (Temporary and 30years Life ICCP) for 94km Nembe to Cawthorne Channel (NCTL) Oil effluent Trunk Pipeline on replaced 12”, 24” and 30” Pipeline Sections(SPDC Nigeria facilities).

2005-2006: Detailed design of Subsea CP Systems for New Nembe, San Bartholomew extension, and Cawthorne Channel Oil Manifold Platforms for SPDC Nigeria.
