Gary Geddes, senior well engineer – Drilling & Wells – Conventional offshore product line


Gary Geddes is a senior well engineer in the conventional offshore product line and is currently the focal point for all Al Shaheen Drilling and Wells Engineering studies performed in the Centre scientifique et technique Jean Féger (CSTJF). He is also the Drilling and Wells focal point for Gabon’s NMO studies.


He has 16 years of experience in the industry and has worked on many aspects within Drilling and Wells, including HP/HT, deep water, onshore and conventional offshore projects. Gary joined TEPUK in 2011 before joining the engineering team in Pau at the beginning of 2015, where he was assigned as the project focal point for the LOURO W12 4D subsalt seismic well; which was winner of the Maîtrise des coûts award in the 2016 Best Innovators Awards.


During his working career, Gary obtained a distinction in Mechanical Engineering degree at Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University (RGU) and went on to further study an additional Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering through Imperial College London.
