Jacques Danquigny, senior well performance engineer

A graduate of the École Centrale in Paris, France, Jacques has clocked up more than 25 years’ experience in reservoir engineering and well performance in Total. After starting out in the petro-acoustics lab in 1992, he then exercised his skills in reservoir management in France and in Qatar on the Al Khalij field as from 1996.

He joined Well Performance in 2005 where he contributed to developing the Digital Oil Field as manager of the “Well Performance Monitoring” project. The software was deployed in affiliates in Congo, Gabon and Nigeria. From 2009 to 2011 he held the position of well performance engineer in Total E&P UK before going on to oversee more than 70 studies in France and contribute to various R&D projects concerning EOR, residual gas management (CCUS), the issues of gas well deliquification and non-conventional fields (R&D projects UGR, TGR), etc.

Since 2019, his activities have been focused on non-conventional. He is a member of the SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers).
