Jérôme Guyon, Blowout Prevention Coordinator


After earning a master’s degree in petroleum engineering at the French Petroleum Institute, specializing in Reservoir development & production, Jérôme Guyon joined Total in 1998 as a junior drilling engineer.


Between 2000 and 2008, he was drilling supervisor in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Nigeria. In 2008, he was appointed drilling engineer in Indonesia, where he supervised exploration well partnerships. He then contributed to securing the Elgin North Sea oil platform.


Since 2016, he is blowout prevention coordinator, and supervises awareness actions similar to those of Well Sentinel.
