Manuel Pungo - Field Operations Manager, TEP DO Brasil

Manuel graduated with a Master in Mechanical Engineering at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal. He also got a Business Management diploma from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, United Kingdom as well as Leadership Excellence diploma from Cranfield School of Management, United Kingdom.

He joined Total in 2000 as Maintenance Engineer on Bloc 3 and was later assigned within the Girassol project commissioning team in South Korea. He now has over 18 years of experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry, in various areas of expertise from field development to operations.

Today, Manuel is Field Operations Manager in Brazil, in charge of operating the first pre-salt field operated by Total. He is also a visiting lecturer to the Master in Petroleum Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico of Lisbon, Portugal and the International Affairs Director for the Brazilian section of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
