Nicolas Pélissier, Project manager in Exploration intelligence

 

Nicolas Pélissier is a Geologist, holder of a Master degree in Geology from UniLaSalle (former Institut Polytechnique LaSalle (Bauvais)) and a Master degree of Petroleum Geosciences from IFP School. In 2005, he joined the Total Group where he has held first various junior positions as Exploration Geologist in Pau and Paris. Then he was appointed Well Site Geologist in charge of well drilling supervision with experiences in various geological and operational contexts in Mauritania, Yemen, Norway, UK and Netherlands. He finally pursued his career in operations geology holding Head positions first in Algeria and in Libya before joining Angola in 2013 in charge of a large multi-cultural teams managing up to 8 drillships. After 7 years of expatriation, Nicolas came back to HQ in 2015 and has been working as Senior Exploration Analyst and Project Manager in the Exploration intelligence Department ensuring notably the monitoring & follow-up of exploration competitors activity. In this context, he was in charge , in collaboration with his colleagues of the Data Analytics Competence Center (DACC), to transform an emerging idea of creating a unique platform dedicated to external data management linked to competition follow-up & benchmark in Exploration to a practical industrial solution: the Competitors Cruncher.
