The 50th edition of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) will be held in Houston from April 30th to May 3rd, 2018. This annual conference, the largest in the oil industry in the United States, brings together some 70,000 professionals, including 2,000 exhibitors and more than 100 speakers. During this edition, Patrick Pouyanné, Total's Chief Executive Officer, will speak about the progress of offshore technologies over the last 50 years and the expected innovations for the next 50 years.
In the United States, Total has been involved in Exploration-Production since 1957. In 2017, the Group's production in the country amounted to 123,000 boe/day. In the Gulf of Mexico, Total is focused on deep offshore. In addition to the North Platte and Anchor discoveries in which it recently increased its stake (respectively 60%, operator, and 32.5%), the Group holds interests in 3 fields in production: Jack with 25%, Tahiti with 17% and Chinook with 33.33%. In January, Total also announced the major discovery of Ballymore (40%), located in the Norphlet formation.
