Peter Bierdrager, Senior Inspection & Quality engineer

Peter started work in 2006 as Asset Management Engineer for Traduco Asset Management B.V, where he was project manager for several clients and projects, performing risk analysis on different technical installations, developing maintenance concepts, and in charge of implementing maintenance concepts into maintenance managements systems.

In 2007, he was appointed Trade Engineer piping and valves for Total, where he was responsible for the maintenance and certification of Pressure Safety Valves, Valves, Accumulators, Heat Exchangers and Modifications of Piping.

From 2011, Peter became Production Support Engineer and he was responsible for the preparation and coordination of Inspection Campaigns both on and offshore.

Between 2012 and 2015, Peter was inspection Engineer for Total E&P Netherlands and as such, he organized and implemented inspection work programs, risk based Inspection analysis for pressure systems, issued the inspection scope of works, prepared inspection plans, coordinated inspection campaigns on offshore facilities and carried out inspections.

Peter started as Senior Inspection & Quality engineer in 2015, his current position at Total E&P Netherlands. He is responsible for the compliance of inspection activities in regard to ISO 9001 certification, he develops, organizes and implements inspection strategies and work programs, supports the Head of Inspection and Corrosion Department to ensure that all pressure equipment are fit for purpose and do not represent a threat to safety, harm to the environment or to business efficiency. He coordinates audits and performs inspections of statutory and non-statutory production equipment offshore.

Peter has worked within the Genius project team, competing for the Best Innovators 2018, since 2015.

Peter holds a Bachelor in Maritime Operations from the Hogeschool of Amsterdam and a Master degree in Inspection from the University of Utrecht.
