Philippe Lattes - Exploration Production - Total

Philippe Lattes, Metocean specialist

Philippe is an engineer who graduated from the Pierre & Marie Curie University, specializing in remote sensing and spatial techniques. He began his career at the French national center for scientific research (CNRS) in 2006, where he worked on a project studying spatial altimetry, oceanography and climate change. He then joined an oceanography laboratory where he worked as engineer and project manager for several European and French projects in the Arctic region.

Philippe was hired by Total in 2012 as a metocean specialist. In this capacity, he manages studies within his specialty and supervises metocean and oceanographic surveys on the relevant sites, in order to determine their impacts on site architecture and operating conditions.

He participates in R&D projects and also represents the Group within the Metocean committee of the IOGP (International Association of Oil & Gas Producers), where he is a member of two task forces: “New Technologies in Offshore Monitoring” and “Climate Change”.
