Rémy Marmier, Integrated Downhole-Surface Modeling Specialist

Rémy graduated as an engineer in fluid mechanics from Polytech Marseille in 2004, and went on to obtain a PhD in geomechanics (École des Mines de Nancy/IFPEN) in 2007. That same year, he joined the Group as a reservoir engineer in Paris, where he worked on developments and development projects for Venezuela.

Still in the same capacity, he was expatriated to Norway in 2009, where he contributed to the appraisal and development of the Martin Linge field. In 2012, he returned to Pau, France, where he entered the Drilling & Wells division as productivity engineer in charge of the Africa zone.

He returned to the Reservoir division in 2017, where in his new position as integrated downhole-surface modeling specialist, he leads a team in charge of operational studies based on integrated models for the product lines and E&P affiliates.

He is the author or co-author of a dozen or so publications on the subjects of geomechanical/reservoir coupling, reservoir simulation and integrated downhole-surface simulation. He also helps the industry with the organization of international conferences on these topics.
