Vincent LATRON, Head of Survey and Geohazards, TEPNG

 

Vincent LATRON is a graduate from the School of Maritime Science and Engineering at Southampton Institute (United Kingdom). He started his career working as an offshore Party Chief for a British company specializing in hydrographic, geophysical and geotechnical surveying, before working for Technip in the Subsea Engineering Department as Subsea Intervention Supervisor covering survey and positioning activities as well as remotely operated interventions.

 

Vincent joined Total in 2012 as a Geophysical Site Investigation Specialist in the GEO department of the E&P Technology Division. Today, he works in Port Harcourt for Total E&P Nigeria as Head of Survey and Geohazards within the Engineering, Construction and Project Division. He is in charge of all the shallow geophysical data acquisition and interpretation required for Exploration, well drilling and Field development. His areas of activities include both onshore and offshore installations.

  • Full member of the OSIG Committee (Offshore Site Investigation and Geotechnics), specialist group of the SUT (Society for Underwater Technology).

 

Projects

 

  • Vincent has worldwide experience in site investigation surveys and geohazards investigation within some of the most challenging environments and has been in charge of numerous survey campaigns for various E&P branches. In 2013, he contributed to the innovative development of the first subsea integrity inspection survey with an AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle).
