Vincent LATRON, Senior Geophysicist - Seismic Acquisition

Graduated from the School of Maritime Science and Engineering at Southampton Institute (United Kingdom), Vincent joined Total in 2012 in the GEO department of the E&P Technology division as a Geophysical Site Investigation Specialist.

He started his career working as an offshore Party Chief for a British group specialized in hydrographic, geophysical and geotechnical surveys.

Then, Vincent worked for Technip within the subsea engineering department as the Subsea Intervention Supervisor covering survey and positioning activities as well as remotely operated interventions.

Following his assignment in Total headquarters, Vincent joined Total E&P Nigeria in Port Harcourt as Head of Survey and Geohazards within the Engineering, Construction and Project division. He supervised all the shallow geophysical data acquisition and interpretation, required for any Exploration, well drilling and Field development.

Vincent now works for the EXPLO division within the Seismic Acquisition department where he oversees the operational aspects of the activity.

 

Collaborations

 

  • Full member of the OSIG Committee (Offshore Site Investigation and Geotechnics), specialist group of the SUT (Society for Underwater Technology).

 

Projects

 

  • Vincent has worldwide experience in site investigation surveys and geohazards investigation within some of the most challenging environments and has been in charge of numerous survey campaigns for various E&P branches. In 2013, he contributed to the innovative development of the first subsea integrity inspection survey with an AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle).
