Vincent Romeo, subsea engineer, Deepwater & Subsea, Well Drilling


Vincent Romeo is a civil engineer trained at the Institut national des sciences appliquées (INSA Lyon). He joined the Group in 2003, working in the Marketing France department as a maintenance and safety manager for the network of filling stations.


In 2006 he became part of the Exploration & Production team in the Well Drilling business line, where he worked on the training program for new drilling engineers.




  • Vincent Romeo helped develop the Moho Bilondo field in Congo as offshore subsea supervisor, where he was exposed to subsea and deepwater completion operations.
  • In 2011 he joined the Angola subsidiary as the lead engineer for a campaign working on deepwater subsea wells in Block 17.
  •  In 2014 he was put in charge of the Subsea section of the Well Drilling division in Angola to develop fields in Block 17 and Block 32.
  • In January 2017 he began working in central services for the deepwater subsea product line.
